The First Step

I have always been meaning to read to Quran. But somehow I think it is better to both read and understand the meaning, literal or underneath. Reading it blindly doesn't feel right, to me at least.

So last month, my parents and I went to a shop which sells all the Islamic-related things. My mom wants to buy a mus'haf for herself. Since she has a lot of free time now, she wants to learn more about al-Quran and read it more properly.

Then I asked the store clerk whether they have the mus'haf with tafseer. Of course they have it. Then I requested for a smaller one. Still have it. Then I asked for the smaller one with a cover. You guess it.

Then my mom paid this mus'haf for me.

I started slow, but lately I have been stuck reading it. I really like reading it, even if I only read a page in an occasion. Even if not everything is directly related to me now, the things that I can relate have deep impact within me.

Therefore, this blog will be focusing on the some ayat of al-Quran that I think I can relate with me more personally. I will write down my experiences from reading it, and the lessons that I learned from it. I know, I am not a qualified translator or observer of al-Quran, so I will just write without trying to mince my words into it.

The things that I'm going to write about:
1) The ayat which either I am interested in knowing the deeper meaning or had an impact on me
2) How do I take lesson from the ayat
3) Some Arabic words to increase my vocabulary.

I hope that this will goes well. Bismillah.
